The sex offender moved from one city to another and has just gotten registered w/ his new probation officer and transfered all the paper work to the new city. Public knowledge of a sex offender in your neighborhood allows people to protect themselves. I don’t know how many people actually look up the registry to determine that. It sort of means you are responsible for knowing that your child may be at risk if you don’t watch them constantly or maybe a female should take special precautions.
